LED Holiday Lights: Decorating a Christmas Tree with LED Christmas Lights
LED Christmas lights make a Christmas tree sparkle! After choosing the perfect Christmas tree you will probably want to start decorating with your LED holiday lights right away. However, before placing any LED Christmas lights on your tree, there are some important things you will have to take care of.
If you have chosen a fresh tree upon which to use your beautiful LED Christmas lights, you will need a few tips in order to keep it looking fresh and lovely as long as possible. First, you should cut the stump of the tree with a good sharp saw and then set it into a stand with a large reservoir of fresh water right away.
Your new tree will drink up many quarts of water right away. Once you have placed your LED Christmas lights upon your new tree, your work is not complete! For the first week, you should definitely keep checking on the water level and keep the tree stand reservoir filled with fresh water. This will help preserve your tree, and allow you to showcase your LED holiday lights for as long as possible!
To prolong the life of your tree, and keep a lovely backdrop for your LED Christmas lights as long as possible, you can mix 1 quart of water with ½ a cup of light corn syrup and 1 teaspoon of liquid bleach.
Once you have cut, fed, and adjusted your stand, the decorating may begin! Your LED Christmas lights should be the first thing that you put on your tree. Take care to be sure that your LED holiday lights are secured to the branches of your tree so that they don’t move about once you have completed your decorating!
Once your LED Christmas lights are placed and secured to your tree, it is time to hang your garlands and then ornaments. Your LED holiday lights, garlands and ornaments should be in complementary colors. For example, if you are using a simple silver and gold theme for your garlands and ornaments, then frosted or clear LED Christmas lights would match beautifully. Once the LED Christmas lights are in place, and your garlands are hanging, the ornaments may be hung.
While decorating your Christmas tree with LED holiday lights may seem like a daunting task, by following a few simple “rules”, you will have a beautiful tree with sparkling LED Christmas lights!
